How to spot a high-quality candidate
A quick way to evaluate a candidate is by looking through the ‘non-negotiables’ section in Job Description on a particular job opening. The prospective candidate should meet the stated non-negotiables, either on their resumes or on their LinkedIn profiles.
Aim to refer people who meet at least 100% of the stated non-negotiables. We assess the LinkedIn and CVs so these requirements need to come out clearly there.

Assess the candidate's experience and skills in relation to the job requirements.
Look for experience working in similar roles or industries.
Evaluate the candidate's level of experience and tenure in previous roles.

Assess the candidate's education and training and if it is suited to the role.
Check for gaps in employment or job hopping.
Look for relevant volunteer or extracurricular activities.
Observe their level of professionalism with the language used in their resume or LinkedIn.
Evaluate their online presence, including LinkedIn profile and professional websites.
Look for endorsements, recommendations, and references on LinkedIn.
Look for publications, articles, or blog posts they've written.
Look for language proficiency, if the role requires.
Look for any relevant awards or recognition they've received.
Check for any relevant memberships or affiliations.
Look for any relevant projects they've worked on.
Look for any relevant technical skills or certifications.
Look for any relevant soft skills, such as leadership or teamwork.
Look for any relevant industry-specific skills or experience.
