Sr. Product Manager
UtilityAPI
You will be the Sr. Product Manager for UtilityAPI’s Utility Data Service product, leading the design and deployment of data access infrastructure across utilities, clean energy companies, and everyday consumers. As the leader of our core customer-facing product, you will define and drive the vision for how our product and organization will scale. Your insights will define our market position and direction, guiding the future of the product, organization, and clean energy data access landscape. Your voice will have a lasting impact on UtilityAPI’s products, processes, and team culture.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the iterative development of product improvements and new features;
- proactively generate, define, and drive feature and version updates to the product informed by customer empathy and business priorities.
- work with internal and external stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize the backlog, and set the scope.
- provide project management on product-related initiatives .
- work closely with the Director of Product, Product Designer, Engineering Manager, and engineering team to scope, develop, and launch new products and features.
- derive insights from product and market data to drive data-driven decision making and defining metrics for success
- understand the market, competition, customers, and user needs.
- perform competitor and market research and educate cross-functional teams so team members can make informed decisions.
- drive discussions and clearly communicate expectations to internal and external stakeholders.
- collaborate with Market Development, Marketing, Customer Solutions, Sales, Business Development, and Policy teams to:
- manage and prioritize the backlog.
- define the go-to-market strategy.
- incorporate customer feedback and market insights into development lifecycles.
- push product release information across cross-functional teams.
- articulate our value proposition for technical and non-technical audiences.
Your Experience:
- 4+ years product management experience, in an Agile environment, from architecture through release, maintenance, and support
- a self-starter, proactive problem solver, experimenter, and eager to learn in all capacities
- high levels of organization
- an attentive listener
- has adaptive communication skills, including the ability to translate information across diverse stakeholders including sales, business development, marketing, policy, engineering, technical and non-technical customers, etc.
- enhances connectivity across a diverse and distributed team
- has a background in climate tech, cleantech, energy transition or able to clearly articulate how you will translate your experience from your current industry to UtilityAPI’s market context

Compensation:
The estimated annual base salary range for this role is:
$140,000 - $160,000
