Staff Accountant

The Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by performing a variety of general accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position requires a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience with NetSuite, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Perform daily accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and analyzing financial transactions in compliance with US GAAP.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Support the month-end and quarter-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage assigned areas of the general ledger, including preparation of supporting documentation and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial data.
• Participate in the annual audit process by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
• Assist with sales and use tax compliance.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses as needed, providing support to the finance team and other departments.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite is highly preferred.
• Prior experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $70,000 - $92,000 annually, which is just one aspect of our total compensation package. In addition to the salary, this position is eligible for a potential annual bonus and equity! Actual compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
